Ginger Labrador Retriever Mix Westfield, NY

Ginger is a 2 1/2 year old Lab mix. She arrived at NCCR on June 6th. Ginger is a friendly girl, but basically an untrained puppy with oodles of energy for which she will need daily activities to burn some of it off! She is headstrong, but with consistent training, she learns what is expected of her. Ginger will sit for a treat and she's a good running partner (but may want to occasionally stop and sniff). She does jump up, so that is behavior that she needs continued work with, she's a bit of a bull in a china shop. She is also affectionate and wants to sit in your lap. We were provided some information from her prior home; she was given up because she had shown aggression to the other dogs in the household, when it came to food and treats. For this reason, we wouldn't recommend a home with young children and feel she would do best and an "only" dog.

If you have the time and patience to continue to work with Ginger, perhaps taking her to obedience classes, so that she can become the best dog she can be, then put in your application!

Ginger is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $215.00. (cash or check only, we are unable to accept credit cards)

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
