Gina's Story

Gina is 9 year old Border Collie/Terrier mix with the energy of a younger dog!

Once she's been acclimated and settles into your home, Gina is an immediate lovebug that looks forward to being pet and having company! She gives toothy smiles and loves to show off her gremlin face, and give gentle little love nibbles to show her playful affection. She's very direct about her needs, so will whine in the mornings if she has not gone to the bathroom / received breakfast. On her walks, she's friendly with people and dogs, but gets very excited seeing other dogs and will most likely bark as a way to greet them. She tends to bark for a few seconds if separated from you (like entering another room or leaving the house), but will calm down and be comfortable chilling at home if you're unable to travel with her. To get some of her big energy out, try integrating tug of war with a big rope toy, stimulating toys for inside play (puzzles and games), and getting her on walks around the neighborhood/parks.

Gina would thrive in a home that has the time and energy to keep training her, help her with weight loss, and get her confident in her routine as she transitions into her new home life!
