Gilligan

On a hot afternoon in early July, two small fuzzy, scrawny, bedraggled and flea ridden 8-week-old puppies appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, on a rural road. They cautiously followed behind a brother and sister who were walking home along this quiet stretch of road southeast of Texas. What to do? Pups were hot, they were thirsty, and a bit worse for wear. The family took them in, to the consternation of their mother, hoping that the flimsy collars they wore meant they had owners in the area. The pups were bathed, fed and watered and the family began the hunt for the owners. Sadly, but not unexpectedly, no one came forward to claim them. Puppies and entire litters are discarded daily across rural Texas. <br/><br/>Gilligan (white) and Mary Ann (light ginger) are no longer the "castaways" they were 4 weeks ago. They are now approximately 12-weeks-old, believed to be Great Pyrenees mixes, are current on all their puppy vetting, are microchipped and now 22 & 25 lbs respectively. They are social and friendly, active and playful, love the water, enjoy being with other dogs, housebroken, crate-trained, walk well on a leash, travel fine in a car, and are ready to hear, "Ahoy and welcome aboard!" to their new homes.
