Gilligan Chow Chow Mix Springfield, MO

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of sweet sweet pup.  That "pup" is me, Gilligan and I am 10 years young.  I am a 45lb., Chow Chow fuzzball.  I sailed into this rescue life after being rescued from an island where I was all by my lonesome in the middle of a lake!  I don't remember signing up for any 3 hour tours, but I was not stranded with any millionaires, their wives, or movie stars so it was rather sad and lonely.  Luckily, there are nice people in this world and I was saved.  Now, I get the chance to have the most wonderful years of my life being loved to pieces.  I am not a gushy, snuggly type of guy.  I'm more of a laid back, do my own thing fella.  But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate good people.  I am currently working on house training and need frequent potty breaks.  I have mastered the crate.  I am good with other dogs, although I prefer female dogs and get a little overwhelmed in a big pack.  I am also good with cats and older, respectful children.  I need a home with a 6ft privacy fenced yard, so no apartment living for me.  I am a little hard of hearing and have some slight vision impairment, so I will need my humans to be aware and keep me safe.  I love a good routine and will need my bestie to be home a lot.  I don't want to spend anymore of my life alone.  I take a little time to bond, so my human must be patient, understanding, and ready to show me how wonderful a life full of love can be.  My favorite times of the day...meal times!  Oh boy, does that food bowl get the old tail a waggin' and me a talkin'!  I am looking for a nice calm home, without a lot of commotion.  I've had enough excitement in my life already.  Now it is time to kick back, relax, and soak up the good stuff.  If you think you'd like to be my Skipper, go ahead and fill out my adoption application!
