Gigi Australian Shepherd & Poodle Mix Lowell, MA

Gigi is an 9 year old Australian Shepard mix who is patiently awaiting finding a new home with her brother, Auggie. They came in to us after coming from an overwhelming household that has left them as very shy and skittish souls. Gigi is the shyer one out of the two, and will take a while to warm up to a new person. It's important to go nice and slow with her! With time she will start to warm up but definitely needs a person who is willing to make time to socialize with her and her brother. We are finding that she enjoys walks and being outside a lot more when her brother is by her side! We are placing these two in a home with teens or older and in a quieter household where they can decompress together at a nice slow pace. We would consider placing Auggie & Gigi in a household with a confident, friendly resident dog to help them come out of their shells and potentially a home with a cat, but please speak with an adoption counselor if you have other animals to see if it would be a good match.
