They were adopted out together from a local shelter, but then returned when the new owner had health issues. We dont know much about their lives before then. Their recent adoptive family was very excited but was having trouble with Gigi getting acclimated to their home. She was showing a lot of aggression towards visitors and then also to her adopters themselves. They decided it was best to surrender Gigi back to our rescue to prevent any more incidents. Our team was able to get Gigi back and work with her in an experienced foster home. We believe she was fiercely protective of Sammy in the new home which was causing her lots of unnecessary stress. It took some patience but Gigis current foster home has assessed her and really been able to break thru her aggression issues.<br/><br/>Here is what we have learned about Gigi! Gigi is an absolute VELCRO DOG and will be by her persons side at every moment possible. She will bark at strangers coming in the home and if they get too close while shes being petted by someone. But foster parents have been able to correct that with a stern No Maam and removing her from the couch if necessary. <br/>Gigi seems to get along great with other dogs, especially older, calm ones. We are not sure about cats. It is recommended that Gigi not be in a home with children under 12 since shes has a history of aggression. Gigi has a big heart in her tiny little Doxie body and needs someone that will make her feel safe and loved. Gigi is up to date on her vetting, spayed and microchipped. She is potty trained but does a little bit of submissive urinating that we hope will get better. Thanks for reading about this Little girl!<br/><br/>**LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY!
