Gidget's Story

Meet Gidget — affectionately called Giggy by her foster mom — a 3-year-old (DOB 7/06/2022) sweetheart with a quiet spirit and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.

Gidget is a sweet, laid-back girl with an “old soul” personality who’s just looking for a cozy place to call her forever home. She absolutely loves her naps, spending time lounging in the backyard, and soaking up all the love she can get.

She gets along amazingly with other dogs of all sizes and genders, and she’s also cat-friendly—making her an easy addition to a multi-pet home. Gidget is wonderful with children as well and has been around kids ages 4, 9, and 11. She is incredibly patient, enjoys gentle hugs, and even happily lets the youngest brush her. When she’s in the mood, she’ll come over for snuggles or curl up right next to you on the couch.

Gidget has a very easygoing personality. She enjoys playing with her foster siblings but is also perfectly content doing her own thing—she’s a bit of a lone wolf unless she decides it’s time to join in. Most of all, she’s a quiet little love bug who just wants a soft place to relax and people to love her.

She is crate trained and has no behavioral concerns. When she first arrived, she tested her boundaries outdoors and showed she could be a bit of an escape artist, so she will do best with a secure fenced-in yard and a family that can provide supervision and routine. Because of this, some general dog experience is recommended.

Gidget was born with a facial deformity, which only adds to her uniqueness and charm. She does require her kibble to be softened, but otherwise, she’s a happy and healthy girl.

Her perfect home would include a fenced yard where she can spend lots of time outside (her favorite!), a fluffy bed to curl up on, and a loving family who will give her the affection she deserves every day.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a heart of gold, Gidget might just be your girl.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an adoption application.
