Gia's Story

Meet Gia!

We are now taking applications for Gia. This sweet mama came
to us after we found her and her 3 pups on the euthanasia list, minutes away from being euthanized at a city shelter.
Her body tells us that she has been over bred. Now that her 3 pups no longer need her it is now time to find Gia a home of her own.

Gia is extremely sweet. She isn't a fan of cats. She is a small pocket bully. She is about 40lbs. She is short and stocky. Walks well on a leash, kennel trained and we are just about house broken. She loves going on walks and car rides. She is low energy.

Gia is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, Micro-chipped, & UTD on Heartworm/Flea/Tick prevention.

Adoption fee is $500 and includes transportation out of state. (Currently located in Houston, TX)

Adoption Fee includes transport out of state, age-appropriate vaccines (DAPP with boosters, Bordetella, Rabies if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter *if old enough, flea & heart worm prevention while in our care, a microchip with free lifetime registration, New Leash and Collar, and a 30 days free with Trupanion (Pet Insurance).

We facilitate adoptions across the US from Houston, Tx. which includes a health certificate by a licensed vet deeming the pup healthy for travel. Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on licensed transport vehicles. This is included in our adoption fees.

Next transport on 07/07/2026

First step
(Copy & paste link in your browser)

Adoption Application:
https://form.jotform.com/220186543276154

Check out our website:
https://texasanimalrescuerehab.org/

Adopting out of State?
Every Texas Animal Rescue Rehab dog is fostered in a loving home in Texas while waiting for their forever family.
Once adopted, each dog receives a reserved spot on our licensed transport vehicle. Every dog travels in their own airline-approved crate inside a clean, climate-controlled vehicle. Texas Animal Rescue Rehab's Adoption Policy
Every adopter must first apply to adopt one of our pets. After an adoption application is complete, we will review it, reach out to their references and their personal veterinarian. We do a home check; we ensure the pet will be kept in the proper habitat suited for them. We check outdoor play areas being sure there is proper fencing/containment for the animal. If the application is approved, we will proceed with the adoption. We will then schedule a meet and greet. If the family chooses to adopt the pet, we then will have an adoption contract complete. This contract states things such as if the pet were to be rehomed it must be returned to TARR. The animal must stay current on vaccines, deworming and preventatives. If the pet is then adopted, we will do a check in every 6 months to insure all is well.
