Ghost

Meet Ghost!

This little Ghost is much more cute than creepy!

Ghost is currently about 8 weeks old and barely 3 lbs. She’s just starting to settle into her foster home in Millsboro, Delaware. As she gets more comfortable and has a little time to decompress, we’ll start to get a much better idea of her personality, energy level, and all her little quirks.

With her pale coat, adorable speckles, and Mom’s blue-ticked coloring, our best guess is that Ghost is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and Terrier mix, possibly with Chihuahua or another small breed mixed in. Dad is unknown, so we cannot say exactly what mix she is or how large she will become.

Ghost is an absolutely precious little puppy with unique coloring and one seriously adorable face. She is still very young, so her individual personality is still developing.

Like all puppies, she will need a family ready to continue potty training, crate training, leash training, socialization, and basic manners. Puppies require time, consistency, patience, and lots of love.

Ghost is expected to arrive in Millsboro, DE the weekend of October 2.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog

Her adoption fee is $550.

Because Ghost is too young to be altered prior to adoption, all puppy adoptions require a signed spay/neuter contract. The adopter agrees to have the puppy spayed at approximately 6 months of age. The adopter is responsible for scheduling and paying for the procedure. Paws Deep Animal Rescue does not cover the cost of the spay.

Once proof of spay is provided to the rescue, $100 of the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter via PayPal or check.

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or directly from the streets of South Texas. The adoption fee helps cover transportation, age-appropriate core vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing when age appropriate, and other veterinary and rescue expenses.

We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. Every adoption includes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. VCA also provides limited health guarantee coverage of up to $250 for certain minor illnesses diagnosed during that initial 14-day period.

We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how large they will be when fully grown. Breed listings are our best guess based on appearance and known parentage when available. We also cannot guarantee that any rescue dog is not mixed with pit bull.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue. Any excess revenue is used to help care for animals with additional medical needs.
