Gevalia 's Story

Hi, I am Gevalia. I am a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd Mix, and I was born on 12/11/25. I came here from the south with my eight brothers and sisters, and my life has been full of new sights and gentle hands ever since.

I am a soft hearted girl who likes to take in the world slowly. I watch people with curious eyes, and when I feel safe, I lean in close and let my tail do the talking. I love warm beds, calm voices, and the feeling of someone sitting beside me like I matter.

The yard feels like a big storybook to me. I follow every scent and sound, pretending I am a brave explorer on an important mission. When playtime arrives, I get a happy wiggle in my whole body, and toys make me feel like the luckiest pup around.

I am learning what it means to be part of a family, and I try each day to be kind and good. My dream is simple. I want a home where I can grow tall and strong, rest my head near people who love me, and share all the loyalty inside my gentle heart.

Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Prior to adopting an animal these are some of the basic things we require (there may be additional requests). Veterinarian Verification - We verify with your vet that all animals currently living in the home are up-to-date with their vaccinations. Puppies may require additional vaccinations once they are no longer under the ownership and care of Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. but are susceptible to catching disease from unvaccinated pets. Vet verifications also gives us insight into the potential adopter. Dog Meet and Greet – Dog meet and greets are required from any potential adopter with a dog so that we may ensure the safety of all the animals in the home. We want to make sure that the animals are going to get along and to set the potential adopters up for success once their new furry friend is in the home. This interaction between the current member(s) and the potentially new member(s) of your family are facilitated by Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. staff members to ensure the safety of all. The results of these interactions are not guaranteed to carry over into the homes but are a very effective way of gauging the animal’s reactions to one another. Family Meet and Greet – Family meet and greets are required prior to adoptions to ensure the safety of everyone in the home. Family meet and greets also ensure a smooth transition into your home. We want to be sure that the home is the appropriate fit for the animal selected. We gauge the initial interactions with the family members to see if your potential new dog may be exhibiting any negative behaviors that may escalate or may potentially be an issue once the animal is in your home. Landlord Verification – This is required for those who rent to ensure that they are indeed able to have an animal in their home. We want to make sure that the potential adopter will not have any issues bringing home their new forever friend into their forever home due to breed restrictions, weight restrictions, a pet deposit or other additional information the potential adopter may not be aware of. Verification with the landlord eliminates the possibility that any of this could be an issue. Age Requirement – All potential adopters must be at least 18 years of age prior to adopting. If they live with their parents, the parents will be contacted at some point during the adoption process to ensure they are aware of and agree to letting the potential animal(s) into their home. Valid Identification – We ask that all potential adopters show one form of valid identification such as a Driver’s License or a U.S. Passport.
