Gerald's Story

Meet Gerald!

Gerald is a male, beagle, born April 2024! This handsome man came to B&B where he was found as a stray and is now ready for a loving, furever home! He is so sweet, curious, and loves to sniff around! He is good around other dogs, but doesn’t require a dog sibling in the home! He is a social, sweet boy, and sometimes can be a little shy and nervous with loud noises! This medium energy boy is very loving, follows his nose, and listens well!

His favorite things are squeaky toys, other dogs, treats, and being outside so he can sniff all the things! He loves to play and rarely barks. He is crate trained, mostly potty trained, and working on his leash manners! He is looking for a new furever home, best forever humans who can be patient as he adjusts, but give him all the love and sniff spots!

He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on core vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. He has been heartworm tested and is negative. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of core vaccinations, microchip, and his required neuter, along with the cost of his care while in foster. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Gerald visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Spay/Neuter Disclosure:
Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
