Meet George
This magnificent giant is George. He is the largest dog we have had here in the past decade. Weighing in at 160 lbs, George is lean with the most giant head in the world.
George is all things mastiff. He is lazy and loves lounging in the sun. He is enjoys his walks and unless he sees a rabbit to chase, he is easy to handle. George doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but don’t ask him to share his treats.
George needs a home who is up for a few challenges. He has a torn cruiciate ligament in his right back leg. The current recommendation is physical therapy, but surgery in the future can’t be ruled out.
George also has a cancerous mass on his tail. The shelter will be taking care of removing that, a gastropexy and his neuter.
George eats a lot. Currently he is eating 12 cups of food a day. Don’t ask us why, but we have gotten into the habit of spoon feeding George. He loves it. It’s cute.
This huge lug would be best in a home with teens or adults. Given his current issue with his leg, we would not want a small child accidentally stepping on George and causing him pain.
George is such a good guy. Someone who loves mastiffs is going to quickly fall in love.
We do not respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires.
