Genie's Story

Genie is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who is the definition of a failed livestock guardian. She had no interest protecting her flock and kept escaping until the farmer who owned her didn't want her back. She now seems to be loving the life of a house dog and refuses to return to farm life.

Genie is a sweet, gentle soul who might take a bit to warm up, but when she does, she will be sure to give you the Pyr paw to remind you she's there. She is currently living with young kids and is great with them. She's good with other dogs so long as they essentially just coexist -- hyper, jumpy dogs are of no interest to her and she will not tolerate puppy antics. She's also fine with cats. She's a pretty chill girl and would love to have her own space to relax. She'd also enjoy a fenced yard to soak in the sun.

Genie is in Nashville, TN but can travel.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/.
