Gemma's Story

Gemma is a 10 year old female Mini Schnauzer who came to Colorado to find a loving home. She was picked up as stray in Texas. She is very active and behaves more like a 7 or 8 year old dog, than a 10 year old. She weighs about 14 pounds and is silver gray with wavy fur. Everyone is her friend, people or dogs, she is even playing with a 14 week old puppy! She seems to be housetrained and loves attention. She likes to go outside at her foster home and sniff around in the fenced in area. She doesn’t know quite what to make of the deer who come around and look at her. We think that Gemma would do well in a quiet home with a person or couple who is retired or who work from home. She likes her people to be “available” for lots of petting and lap time.

Gemma is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped. She had a dental while in rescue and lost 14 teeth, but she can still eat moistened kibble and treats. If you would like to meet Gemma, go to cominischnauzerrescue.com and complete the on-line adoption application. The online application doesn’t work well from the Safari browser. We suggest that you print a copy of the application before you hit the “submit” button, just in case! We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Gemma for a visit. If you have completed an adoption application within the last 12 months, or have previously adopted from Vintage Dog Rescue and would like to meet Gemma, please let us know.
