Gala Sue's Story

This is a two-fer! Gala Sue (active 8 yr old) and her 6 yr old pup, who is her BFF.
Gala Sue is the Mom. She is a spayed, brown and white, Corgi mix. Her mother was a Border Collie while her father was a Corgi. She is an energetic 8 year old (Birth Date: 02/28/13), weighing in at a trim 25 lbs. Though she was hit by a car as a 4 month old puppy it certainly has not slowed her down! Gala Sue leads an active life on an orchard, running after the 4-wheelers and keeping the crews in line. While life on the orchard kept her fit she developed an appetite for fallen fruit and ate so much that 2 of her bottom teeth had to be removed. Other than missing a few of her teeth, she is a trim and fit little girl. Her young owner used to do agility with her and entered many a 4-H shows. She LOVES agility.

While Gala Sue is good off leash, she heels like a dream on leash and enjoys a good walk through the neighborhood. If you need a co-pilot she’s good in cars and loves accompanying you on errands. True to her Corgi nature, Gala Sue tries to be the boss. Even with her big ears she pretends not to hear you and requires a firm hand but at the end of the day there’s nothing this little girls loves more than to snuggle up and hang out.

Gala Sue has no micro-chip. Her “go to commands” are; sit, down, stay, come, shake, wait, and leave it. When you put her food down she is trained to wait politely until she is released with, “ok”. She loves to make you happy.

Gala had a litter of pups when she was two. Her family kept one and he’s become her best dog-friend and partner in life. Meet Milo.
When they are done wrestling and playing “catch me if you can”, I’ll often find them snuggled up together on a bed. See more details about Milo on his Petfinder profile page. The dogs are being fostered near Leavenworth, WA.
