Meet Gabby
BREED: Yorkshire Terrier
AGE: 4-5 years old
WEIGHT: 10 lbs (needs to lose 2 lbs)
FAVORITE THINGS: Cuddles, cuddles, and cuddles! Gabby loves her people.
ENERGY LEVEL (High/Med/Low): Low
CRATE TRAINED/HOUSE BROKEN: Yes, however Gabby did have some “marking” accidents when initially arriving in her foster home which potential adopters need to be prepared to help her through the next transition. Gabby will crate however it is not her favorite thing. She can be vocally initially in her crate.
MEDICAL ISSUES: During birth, Gabby’s foot was accidently cut off when her prior human was attempting to assist with delivery. Although Gabby had lived several years with a shorten leg, vets agreed her best quality of life would be as a true tripod. Therefore, Gabby had amputation surgery at the beginning of December. She has adjusted beautifully and healed nicely. Her new home should have limited stairs and comfortable with any future needs Gabby might have. For this reason, Gabby needs an experienced pet owner and a home with children over 13 years of age, if any.
Gabby is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
Gabby requires regular grooming (every 6-8 weeks).
REQUIREMENTS of NEW HOME:
Gabby is looking for someone who is home the majority of the time. She enjoys her people and being close to them. Gabby will bond to a female faster and stronger, although she has also learned to trust the men who give her time to adapt. Gabby grew up with other dogs in the home, and her foster home has smaller and bigger dogs. Although Gabby enjoys the companionship she does not require another dog in the home. Gabby does little leash walking today, therefore a fenced area for potty breaks is preferred.
If you are interested in giving Gabby the permanent, loving home that she deserves, please fill out an application at the link below to get the ball rolling on a meet and greet.
