Frosty

Frosty is a 14.5 lb male Shih Tzu mix, possibly Lhasa Apso, estimated to be 10 years old, and he is the definition of a sweet, gentle companion. This handsome senior boy is happiest when he’s close to his person, whether that means snuggling on the couch, relaxing by your side, or curling up nearby at bedtime. He clearly came from a home where he was loved and cherished.<br/><br/>Frosty is housetrained, walks beautifully on leash, and has calm, easygoing manners. He is not especially interested in exercise, but he is making great progress with short daily walks and building stamina little by little. Because of some stiffness and suspected arthritis, he currently has trouble with stairs, but he is already improving each day.<br/><br/>This affectionate little guy is a true cuddlebug. He recently spent over an hour happily resting on a visitor’s chest, soaking up attention and love. Frosty is also wonderfully mellow and unbothered by the world around him. Other dogs, squirrels, lizards, loud noises, and even a Roomba bumping into him barely get a reaction.<br/><br/>Frosty is not crate trained and does have some separation anxiety, though he is already showing encouraging progress. He would thrive in a home with someone retired or working from home who can give him the companionship he craves.<br/><br/>A recent vet visit showed no major health concerns, and Frosty is ready to start his next chapter.
