Frogger's Story

Meet Frogger!

Frogger was transferred to us several months ago with her 9 littermates. Frogger was the runt of the litter, weighing only 2.4 lbs at 8 weeks old. After running several tests, we discovered that Frogger has juvenile diabetes. She has been in foster for a couple of months as we got her medical needs under control. She needs insulin injections twice a day and does pretty well with them as long as she is getting yummy food. She is now ready for a forever home that will continue to see to her changing medical needs as she grows.

Frogger loves people and other dogs. She has done well around her foster's cats and rabbit as well. She has met several kids under 10 and has done great with all. She does amazing on leash, but can be fearful of loud noises such as cars. She is crate-trained and does well in one overnight. However, she needs to go out every four to six hours when her glucose levels are right (more often if they are not).

One of Frogger's siblings (all of whom have already been adopted) had a DNA test run. We know that Frogger is:
23% German Shepherd
24% Poodle
10% Beagle
and a whole lot of other breeds as well (about 13)

If you're interested in giving this girl a lifetime of love and care, submit an application through our website.

Female
GSP / Poodle / Beagle / Supermutt
DOB: 12/17
10.32 lbs currently

---------------------------------------------------
Hours: 11am-7pm Tuesdays & Fridays
11- 4pm All Other Days
No appointments required

Disclaimer: Please only use our website (https://www.hshobart.org/adopt/adoptable-animals) to apply for pets.
