Frito is a 7-month-old neutered Chihuahua mix who's been through a lot in his short life but hasn't let it dim his sweet nature. He was rescued from a high-intake shelter with his mom and siblings after their owner surrendered their mother. Because the puppies grew up with almost no socialization or positive human contact, everything was new and intimidating when they first came into rescue.<br/><br/>Today, Frito is a completely different pup. He may be reserved when meeting someone new, but with a little patience, he quickly realizes you're a friend. Once he's comfortable, his curious, playful side takes over. He enjoys exploring, playing with his dog friends, and being close to the people he trusts.<br/><br/>Frito is looking for a home that understands shy dogs and will give him the chance to settle in at his own pace. As his confidence grows, so does his affectionate and fun personality.
