Frida's Story
Meet Frida!

This sweet girl is getting ready to make her way to Virginia!

Frida is an adorable 1-year-old Blue Heeler/Chihuahua mix weighing approximately 18 lbs! She is scheduled to arrive in Gainesville, Virginia, Halloween weekend!

Frida is currently in Texas, where she will remain in boarding until her transport to Virginia. Because she is in boarding rather than a foster home, we won’t have any information about her personality, temperament, energy level, or daily habits until she arrives.

Frida has been cat tested and did well!

We’re excited to get to know this little girl and learn all about her once she’s here!

As with any rescue dog, her future family should be prepared to give her patience, love, and time to adjust to her new surroundings. While Frida is an adult, we don’t yet know her level of house training or experience living in a home. Her adopter should be prepared to help her adjust to a new routine and work on potty training, leash manners, or other basic skills if needed.

If you’re looking for a companion to add to your family, Frida might just be your perfect match!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog

Her adoption fee is $500.

Frida is already spayed, so her adopter will not need to arrange or pay for a spay procedure.

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or directly from the streets of South Texas. The adoption fee helps cover transportation, age-appropriate core vaccines, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing when age appropriate, spay/neuter, and other veterinary and rescue expenses.

We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. Every adoption includes a complimentary First Exam at a participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. VCA also provides limited health guarantee coverage of up to $250 for certain minor illnesses diagnosed during that initial period.

We do not guarantee breed or adult size. Breed listings are our best guess based on appearance, available parent information, and personality traits. We also cannot guarantee that any rescue dog is not mixed with pit bull.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue. Any excess revenue is used to help cover the care of animals with additional medical needs.
