She’s what I like to call a “Velcro dog”—she wants to be by your side as much as possible, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or joining you on your daily adventures.<br/><br/>She has an incredible personality—playful, affectionate, and full of heart. Freyja absolutely adores humans and thrives on connection and attention. She’s happiest in a home where she can be included as part of the family and given lots of love. We think older children would be a good fit, or an adult only home. <br/><br/>Freyja enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor time, but she’s not overly high-energy—making her a great match for a moderately active home. She’s also very food motivated, which makes her fun to train and eager to learn.<br/><br/>Ideal Home: Freyja would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She should not be placed with smaller dogs. She would thrive with someone who is willing to continue working with her on leash skills and provide structure and consistency.<br/><br/>Training & Notes:<br/>Food motivated and responsive during training<br/>Can be reactive to other dogs on leash but improves with guidance<br/>Would benefit from continued training and confidence-building<br/>Past bite incident involving another dog (no humans involved); details are unknown but believed to be stress-related<br/>Separate bite incident involving another dog that initiated the attack on Freyja<br/>Freyja is truly a special dog with so much love to give. This decision has been incredibly difficult for our family, and we are committed to finding her the right forever home where she can thrive and be deeply loved.<br/><br/>Medical:<br/>Freyja is currently recovering from a torn ACL and had corrective surgery. She is currently on Pet Insurance with Embrace and that insurance can be transferred to a new owner. <br/><br/>---<br/><br/>Freyja is about 4.5 years old, and pretty much all bully! She's in the 60# range.
