Freya's pups (NOT YET AVAILABLE)'s Story

Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation.

Freya's puppies - DOB 8/21/2026

We were contacted about a PREGNANT Standard Poodle named Freya. The owner rescued her from a terrible situation in Arkansas. She was emaciated, scared and terribly matted. She had her vetted, but she wasn't well enough to spay. As she gained weight, it was noticed that her belly became more and more round. The owner is elderly and didn't want to deal with puppies so she reached out to someone who reached out to us. We agreed to take her in through delivery of her puppies and until they are weaned. Once the pups are weaned, we will have Freya spayed and we will return her to her very worried mommy. The puppies will stay with us and adopted out once they are old enough.

Freya and her puppies are comfortable at our board member, Gail's house. The puppies are nursing well, plump and active!

Oh, and for reference, there were several males on the property from where she was rescued by the lady who rescued her. There were a couple of poodles, a lab and a pit bull... so it could be one of the dogs as the father or multiple! The puppies' coats do have a bit of a wave to them. We shall see!

Sorry, but we are NOT taking applications until they are weaned from momma and they can't leave until they are 8 weeks old and through two rounds of vaccinations.

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ~ Gandhi

Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
