Meet Freya, a SUPER sweet 6 month old female Poodle/Cattle dog/Terrier mix puppy! Freya is one of the pups from the Oktoberfest litter, born to mama Gretchen (37 lb German Wirehaired Pointer mix - found as a stray in east TN when she was heavily pregnant) on 10/29/2025. We are unsure what Dad is, but based on the pups' current age and size, we think these scruffy pups will grow to around 40-60 lbs. She LOVES kids and is great with other dogs and also cats (she has been fostered with both). <br/><br/>From Freya's current foster:<br/><br/>"Freya is the perfect balance of calm and silly! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
