Freya American Bulldog & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Creston, IA

Meet Freya! Isn't she a pretty girl? She's an American Bulldog/Pitbull mix, approx. 3 yrs. old; she's actually been with the rescue for over a year now as she's a bit shy and barky with people upon meeting them. She's such a sweet...and goofy girl once she warms up to you! :) Full of gentle kisses and her little love nudges to get attention! She'll make a great companion if given the chance!

Freya has an adventurous spirit, she's extremely playful and gets along well with other dogs once she gets to know them; luckily, it doesn't take her long to warm up to her canine companions...a quick sniff, tail wag, then let the playtime begin! She also loves to lay in the sun and nap on the couch. :) She'll lay on the floor and start stretching, inviting you to rub her belly, she loves those too! lol

Freya's happiest when she's running and playing...even in the rain, crazy girl! lol We noticed one day that Freya was limping, her back leg was bothering her, we thought she may have twisted or pulled a muscle playing outside, but it never seemed to get fully better, she'd limp more and more; then, her other leg started bothering her, she was noticeably in pain and basically slithering around more on her front legs to get around....well we couldn't leave this furkid that way! With the help from several animal lovers and two amazing organizations, we were able to get her surgery on both her hind legs, which are now almost fully healed, so she's definitely rarin' to go and ready to meet her new family! :)

Freya's fixed, microchipped and current on her shots, plus she's heart worm tested and flea/tick treated monthly, so she's a healthy girl! :) It'd be great to find her a place to call home, she's been waiting for a family for so long.
