Freddy's Story

FREDDY IS SO EASY TO LOVE

Some dogs require a lot of management. Freddy is not one of them.

At 8 years old, Freddy has settled into that wonderful stage of life where he knows who he is and what matters. This handsome German Shorthaired Pointer is calm, steady, friendly, and remarkably easy to live with. He is the kind of dog who slips comfortably into daily life and makes it better simply by being there.

Freddy's story is a sad one. His beloved owner became seriously ill and will not be returning home from the hospital. Through no fault of his own, Freddy is now looking for a new family to love.

Freddy weighs approximately 65 pounds and is in good health. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and will have a full dental cleaning completed before adoption.

True to his breed, Freddy enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world around him, but he is not a high-octane dog. His energy level is moderate and manageable. A good walk, some companionship, and a comfortable place to relax are enough to make him happy.

Freddy is exceptionally social. He is friendly with children, welcoming to strangers, and gets along well with other dogs. He approaches life with an easygoing confidence that makes him a pleasure to have around. He is also an excellent passenger in the car, riding quietly and making outings easy and enjoyable.

Despite his size, Freddy is a quiet, well-mannered dog who could adapt well to apartment living, provided he receives his daily walks, trips to a park and companionship. That said, his ideal home would include a deck, patio, or fenced yard where he can spend time outdoors, soaking up the fresh air and following interesting scents to his heart's content.

For someone looking for a mature, well-rounded companion, Freddy offers something increasingly rare: simplicity. No drama.

Freddy is hoping to find a home where he can once again belong to someone.
If you have the time, the love and the dedication for FREDDY please fill out an application at: https://gerdysrescue.org/adoption-form/
No direct message inquiries, please.
We adopt to Montreal and surrounding areas only.
We will only respond to applicants who match the requirements.
