Freddie's Story

Freddie is a 2 year old blue merle Australian shepherd double merle with the most striking bright blue eyes you’ve ever seen. At around 35 lbs, he’s the perfect midsize buddy with a personality that will completely win you over — especially when he does that adorable head tilt trying to figure you out.

Freddie was born deaf, but nobody remembered to tell him that. He plays, explores, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He already responds to some hand signals and is incredibly observant. Most of the time he follows the lead of another dog, so he would do best in a home with a confident canine buddy to help guide him and show him the routine.

Freddie has not been cat tested yet. To set him up for success, a home without young children is recommended, as sudden movements or being startled could overwhelm him. He would do best in a calm, structured environment with patient humans who understand his communication

Because Freddie cannot hear, he will need a secure fenced yard and a family committed to continuing his training with hand signals and consistency. He’s a smart boy who wants to learn — he just communicates a little differently.

Freddie is sweet, goofy, and full of personality-he is the kind of dog who bonds deeply once he learns his people’s rhythm.

Contact Elise to meet Freddie
Call or text 816.898.5646
Or email.
