Freckles and Frosty 's Story

These 7 month old girls were dumped off at a rural shelter in Weiser, Idaho after their houndsman hunter owner/breeder couldn't sell them. Of course, he'd bred a litter because he wanted "A" puppy. Didn't seem to think about that there would be 9 or 10 born! Several more have been scattered willing nilly about the community there. We are watching for them to end up at the pound soon enough. We'll try to rescue them too if we have room! These two we'll consider the "lucky" ones. They have landed safely here in Rescue where they have been vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and already gained several pounds of much needed weight. <br/>These girls are very sweet, friendly dogs who will need an outlet for their energy and exercise needs. Coonhounds make phenomenal family dogs if they are exercised properly and kept indoors when you are and as part of the family. Outside they can run, play and bound for endless hours. Inside they love to snuggle on the couch under the blankets and be warm and toasty and watch TV. These girls are well started on kennel training and house breaking. They are friendly to all other dogs but do try to chase the cat. They are extremely agile and athletic and will require a 6' solid wood or vinyl fence. Stunning markings and beautiful voices! (Will be placed independent of each other, ask why if you don't know)
