Hi! My name is Frannie!! I run and jump and play A LOT with my foster friends. I listen pretty well for being a puppy. I LOVE other dogs and kids. I enjoy chewing on bones and most chewies but my favorite is the squishy toys. I’m very soft and I welcome pets and snuggles. I also do well playing by myself and entertaining myself with a fun squishy toy. I am a fun girl to just play. Very self entertaining.

When I first came to ODHS my legs were really crooked. My foster mom made me do physical therapy many times a day. She has also made me wear braces on my legs off and on everyday. When I first got here I tripped over my legs because they were so bent. I had a really hard time playing with my friends. I really don’t mind my physical therapy now…shhh don’t tell my foster mom. It’s really relaxing!
The great news is all my hard work paid off and my legs allow me to do everything my heart always wanted to do! I no longer need to do bracing and the puppy team just helps me with some stretches as I now grow strong. Come check out my progress! It will amaze you!

As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer.

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees.

Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesday 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm and Saturday noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.

Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
