Franklin's Story
Franklin, known as Frankie or Frank- is a 3-year-old Mastiff/German Shepherd mix weighing about 74 lbs. He is a sweet, attentive, goofy, and curious boy who is eager to please and absolutely loves people.

He gives big shoulder hugs, plenty of kisses, and thrives in stimulating environments where he can explore and go on adventures. He has very high energy, enjoys car rides with his head out the window, and needs lots of exercise and enrichment to feel balanced.

Franklin has been going to Wagtime Kennel and having a BLAST. He gains confidence from calm, grounded dogs and would likely thrive with a well-mannered female or a very easygoing, non-dominant male dog as a companion. Though he can get overstimulated at times, he self-regulates beautifully by going to his crate- one of his happy place (when he needs to decompress or nap.)

Franklin does well with older, dog-savvy children (around 9+), but he is not suitable for families with younger kids. He is a large, energetic dog who still plays like a puppy, can be mouthy, and does enthusiastic indoor zoomies that could easily knock little ones over. He’s learning boundaries, and still figuring out his size.

Sensitive to human emotions, Frank needs a calm, confident, experienced owner who can provide leadership and reassurance. Slow introductions in safe, structured environments will help Franklin become the best dog he can be. He’s also potty trained and will clearly signal when he needs to go out. Frank has shown curiosity toward cats but may want to chase them, so very slow, supervised introductions are recommended. or just a home with no cats. Franklin is a good boy, with the right leadership, structure, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation, Franklin will thrive as a loyal, loving, and wonderfully goofy companion.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations & comes with 30 days of free pet insurance to an approved adopter.

Apply to Adopt https://forms.gle/UQhEM1qeQfVHcx6D8
Contact: info@thedogrescuesociety.net
Further Information: www.thedogrescuesociety.net
