Franklin's Story

Meet Franklin!

8 years old 9 pounds

Franklin—aka Frank, Frankers, or Frankie—is one special little guy, and is still waiting for his forever family. He joined us in summer 2025 and has been patiently waiting for the people who will love him for good.

When Franklin arrived, he had severe skin and ear infections, but he has made a wonderful recovery and is now feeling so much better. He's a loving, affectionate little guy who enjoys being close to his people and is happiest curled up on the couch with them. He also loves being held like a baby during snuggles.

Franklin loves his foster mom and her 16-year-old son, who are his favorite people in his foster family of five. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even sleeps in his foster brother bed at night.

Dont let his age fool you—Franklin still has plenty of spunk! He gets bursts of playful energy and loves to have fun. His playful barks can sometimes sound a little intimidating to dogs who dont know him, but once they realize those are just his friendly invitations to play, he and his canine friends have a great time together.

Franklin is house-trained, although his foster family helps him be successful by offering plenty of opportunities to go outside throughout the day. He has even enjoyed trips to the beach! Hes still learning the finer points of walking on a leash, but he has made great progress and, with patient training, could adapt well to an apartment or condo lifestyle.

When his foster family leaves the house, Franklin happily settles into his kennel and waits quietly for them to return.

Franklin is a sweet, funny, affectionate little guy who has come a long way. Hes ready for a forever family who will appreciate his personality, continue building his confidence, and give him all the love he deserves.

If youre looking for a loyal little companion with a big personality and plenty of love to give, Franklin may be your perfect match!
