Frankie is a charming little guy with a smile that is almost impossible to resist. He is bonded to his best buddy, Archie, and these two are happiest when they’re together.<br/><br/>Frankie is incredibly loving, smart, playful, and sweet. He instantly figured out the dog door and arrived already housebroken. <br/><br/>He is a quieter, more reserved boy most of the time, but let Archie start a play session and you’ll see a completely different side of Frankie. The two of them love to play together, and it is absolutely adorable to watch.<br/><br/>Frankie has a wonderfully affectionate way of showing his people just how much he loves them. Sometimes that means quietly snuggling up beside you. Other times, it means enthusiastically throwing his entire little body onto you for a cuddle. Consider it a dachshund-style hug, with slightly more momentum.<br/><br/>He will happily let you hold him like a baby, and he sometimes rolls over for belly rubs. It isn't a sign that he's frightened. Quite the opposite: Frankie has learned that showing you his belly is a pretty excellent way to request some attention.<br/><br/>Frankie is an affectionate, playful, clever little guy with a huge heart and an unforgettable smile. He and Archie are looking for a home together where they can continue being best friends and share all the love, playtime, cuddles, and belly rubs they can possibly get.<br/><br/>Frankie and Archie are bonded and must be adopted together, for the adoption fee of $450 for both dogs. They’re looking for a home where they can continue their adventures side by side, whether that means exploring the great wide open, playing together, sharing bones (apparently), or simply curling up with their people at the end of the day.<br/><br/>Frankie is currently being fostered in Utah.<br/><br/>Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) has foster families in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Please check the dog’s location before your apply to adopt them. You will need to pick them up. RMDR DOES NOT TRANSPORT THE DOG TO YOU or transport them across state lines.<br/><br/>The Colorado Department of Agriculture requires that all dogs entering PACFA-licensed facilities have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Dogs over three months of age must also have proof of a current rabies vaccination, including the vaccination date, manufacturer, and serial number listed on the CVI. Puppies must receive parvovirus and distemper vaccinations at least 14 days before entry.<br/><br/>These PACFA requirements may affect the adoption fee.
