Frankie's Story

***Sharonville Location***

Frankie is an 86 pound lap dog who does not understand she takes up so much space. She loves people, is very affectionate and goofy, and loves to carry her toys around in her mouth when she goes in and out of the dog yards.

Frankie was an owner surrender, along with another dog in the household, when they became homeless. We learned shortly after intake that she only likes the dog she shared her home with, and likely knew from a young age, but does not like other dogs. She does not like cats at all. For this reason, Frankie must be an only pet. We also will require potential adopters to have a safe and intact fence to contain her in a yard since she would likely go after other dogs or animals if she was not contained by a fence.
She is not aggressive towards children, but her large boisterous nature sometimes leads to clumsiness that could be disconcerting around small children. She seems to like men and women equally and follows simple commands for us. Probably would make a great watch dog as she alerts us to everyone’s arrival at the shelter! ;)

She does not have any dietary or digestive issues and has been able to handle different brands and types of food without issue.

She has no known health issues and is fully house trained.

Please consider making an appointment to see if this beautiful brindle girl would be the right fit for your home.

Spayed and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm treatments.

Approximately 4 years old.

* Must be 21 or older to adopt
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.

All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Please see our list of adoptable dogs and cats or check our Facebook page at Facebook.com/HearttCincy. Not all of our animals are shown on Petfinder. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you. Give us a call to enrich the life of a deserving dog or cat, as well as your own! All adoptions are made by appointment only. Email HaveAHeartt@yahoo.com to begin the process.
