Foxy's Story

Foxy
5yr old Husky mix

Hello… could you do me a favour and not look me in the eye right away? I’m a bit nervous meeting new people.
Okay… thank you. Now I can introduce myself.
My name is Foxy. I’m a medium-sized, medium-to-high energy girl, around 5 years old. Before arriving at my foster home in March 2026, I had never lived in a house before. But let me tell you—I love it. Running laps in the yard, playing with all my new toys, looking out all the windows, and having multiple cozy beds to choose from? It’s an absolute dream.
I’m still learning what it means to be a “normal” dog, and I may always be a little unique because of my difficult past… but that just makes me special. And I have so much love to give. Every day, I’m building more trust with my foster family, and they say my fluffy tail is the most beautiful thing when I feel safe enough to let it wag.
I love to play and explore, but I can be nervous around new people and need a little time to warm up. That said, if someone sits quietly on the couch long enough… I might just come over and ask for pets (because I really love pets). I’m brave in my own way.
I’m looking for a patient, understanding, forever family who will continue to help me grow and feel safe. I promise I’m worth it.
If you’d like to learn more about me, please reach out to Paws United. I can’t wait to meet you—at my own pace.
Foxy is:
*Crate trained
*Working on potty training
*Good with all dogs she meets
Foxy would do best in a home with:
*Another dog (preferred)
*A secure yard
*No small animals
*Patient, dog-savvy people committed to helping her build confidence
Foxy has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested, and treated with parasite prevention.
