Floyd's Story

MEET FLOYD — YOUR GOLDEN BOY

Floyd is a gorgeous 2-year-old Golden Retriever who came to us as a stray from a local shelter. While we dont know his full story, it was clear when he arrived that life hadnt been especially kind to him.

He came to us filthy, skinny, and covered in stickers and burrs, with very little confidence and seemingly no idea what it meant to live inside a home.

But Floyd is learning.

Hes young, active, sweet, and absolutely beautiful, but he needs a family who understands that adopting Floyd means helping him discover the world he should have known all along.

Hell need patience, reassurance, basic training, continued socialization, potty training, and lots of positive life experiences. New things can still be scary for him, but every day in foster care hes learning that people can be kind, houses can be safe, and being part of a family is pretty wonderful.

Floyd is currently thriving alongside dogs of all sizes, and we think his ideal home would have another confident, friendly dog who can show him the ropes. Because he can be easily startled and is still building confidence, were looking for a home without young children where he can continue blossoming at his own pace.

Hes still a little lean and could stand to gain a few pounds, but with good food, consistency, training, and lots of love, we know this boy is going to shine.

Have you always dreamed of having a Golden Retriever but dont want to buy from a breeder? Heres your chance to rescue one.

Floyd doesnt need a perfect family. He needs a committed one—someone willing to show him that the best part of his life is only just beginning.

Floyd is approximately 2 years old, dog friendly, and ready for a family committed to continuing his training and socialization. Another confident dog in the home would be ideal, and a home with older children or adults would be the best fit.

Please share Floyd and help us find the family who has been waiting for him.
Adoption fee is $450
