Meet Flora! This little terrier lady has no interest in personal space and every intention of becoming the best part of your day. <br/><br/>Flora is sweet, cuddly, calm, and quietly joyful. The kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention but somehow becomes your entire world anyway. Within minutes, she will have gently worked her way into your lap, your routine, and your heart, as if she’s always belonged there. <br/><br/>Flora came to us after significant neglect. She was in such bad shape that the shelter set a euthanasia deadline for her due to the cost of her medical needs. It's hard to believe that the dog now showing off zoomies in her foster's back yard is the same one who couldn't even lie down comfortably only a month ago. Flora has absolutely stolen our hearts and continues to inspire us every day.<br/><br/>Now that she's back to 100%, Flora has quickly embraced the good life. Nothing in this world delights her quite like chicken (it's the key to her entire heart). Her other great love is a good ear scratch, which she will happily remind you to provide. She has recently made some other very important discoveries: beds are wonderful, couches are even better, and cuddling is life-changing. She’s housebroken, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and has settled into home life with ease. <br/><br/>Flora sleeps through the night, loves her routines, and has even started to play, showing off a few joyful zoomies and making fast friends with her foster sibling. She is gaining weight and continuing to feel better every day. Flora takes high-value treats like bully sticks seriously (as one should) and may guard them a bit, so her future family should be mindful around special snacks. Otherwise, she is affectionate, social, and happiest just being near her people.<br/><br/>Flora would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, ideally with another friendly dog and a fenced yard for easy exploring. She'll thrive in a calm, loving environment with structure, soft places to land, and people who appreciate a dog who wants to be both your shadow and your snuggle partner.<br/><br/>Flora is living with cancer but received a great prognosis from our vet. And you wouldn’t know it from the way she’s embracing her days: she feels good, she’s happy, and she’s ready to love and be loved. She will need a family committed to continuing her care and giving her the comfort, love, and adventures she deserves.<br/><br/>Flora isn’t complicated. She just wants to be near you, loved by you, and part of your life.
