Fletcher's Story
No drama.
Just a spot beside you.
Fletcher is dealing with a case of the shelter icks, something that happens when dogs arrive stressed, underweight, and worn down from whatever theyve been through. He came to us on May 18th skinny and hungry, and now his body is working hard to catch up.
Even feeling crummy, Fletcher is impossibly sweet. Smart, respectful, easy to walk, and grateful for every bit of attention and treat. Hes also remarkably tolerant of our volunteer shenanigans and has graciously allowed costumes and headbands (see the photos in the comments on his original post).
Some dogs demand the spotlight. Fletcher just quietly steals your heart.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

If you have any questions, please email caccpetfinder@gmail.com

A313150
