If you were watching Flat Stanley dash about the dog park, you would never know that he is performing his dance routine while balanced on only three legs. This amazingly active nine-month-old canine loves playing with other dogs both large and small, even with puppies and a diminutive Chihuahua named Chi-Chi. Flat Stanley was brought to the Humane Society with a badly damaged leg which had to be amputated. He has fully recovered and walks along nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and shares smiles with everyone he meets. Flat Stanely even showed off his dexterity as he amazed the photographer with a full vertical stand on his hind legs. Flat Stanley is house-trained and enjoys going for car rides. We are not sure if he has ever flown a kite, or traveled the world, or been into space, or fit into an envelope, but he shares a lot of the adventuristic character of his world-famous name-sake.
