She’s really opening up and changing daily! After preferring proximity over touch at first she’s learning to love snuggling with people and becoming more playful every day. She surprises us with smart antics and is so happy to see her people. She absolutely loves walks. She is the sweetest gentle soul who is still adapting to life with humans around all the time. <br/><br/>She’s a happy-go-lucky girl who finds fun in everything. She’s easily redirected and learning manners very quickly. She loves being held and has 10/10 splooting abilities. She is working on her crate/potty training and doing well! <br/><br/>If she could talk, she'd say "I’ll always brighten your day with my sweet, gentle happiness." Large and loud objects and people frighten her, right now. Think rolling trash bins and loud, expressive people. She’s improving and responding well to reassurance. She’s used to the quiet, nature- filled life of a stray, but getting more and more comfortable and confident each day! <br/><br/>She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required spay when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
