Fisherman's Story
A puppy has to play, and Fisherman is fully committed to the job.
Smart, curious, and always ready for fun. He loves games that keep his paws and his puppy brain busy. The cutest little overachiever.
He came to us with scars around his neck. Not signs of a life full of love. They're healing. We're making sure the rest of him does too.
This is the lightness. The joy. The moments that remind us why we do this.
Our time with them is always temporary. We get to love them, cheer them on, celebrate their quirks, and give them the best moments we can while they wait.
Then we hope.
We hope the right person sees them. We hope someone falls in love the way we have. We hope they find the home they deserve.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter.
