Fire's Story

MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com

Fire is a 2-year-old, 36-pound pit mix with a heart just as big as her story. Despite a difficult past—evident from the scars she carries—Fire has proven to be incredibly resilient and full of love. She’s fully potty trained and crate trained, sleeping quietly through the night and keeping her crate clean. Fire walks nicely on a leash and already knows basic commands like sit and stay. She’s also great with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, though she hasn’t been introduced to cats or kids just yet.

Fire is truly a lover at heart. She’s the ultimate cuddle bug—a “leaner” who will happily press up against you for affection. Her tail is always wagging, and she even does the cutest little grunts when she gets excited to see her people. She adores toys of all kinds and is always ready to play. One of Fire’s favorite pastimes is simply soaking in the world around her. She loves sitting outside, watching birds and squirrels, and would happily spend hours relaxing by your side.

Because of her past, Fire can be protective of her food and may guard it. She will need a home that understands this and can continue to manage her feeding routine appropriately, helping her feel safe and secure. Fire has come such a long way and is ready for a forever home where she can continue to thrive, feel safe, and be loved the way she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a resilient spirit, Fire just might be your girl.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.

Age: 2 years

Adoption fee: $350
