Fiona's Story

Meet Fiona- Big heart, big hugs, bigger personality.

This 85-pound Pitbull Terrier/Dogue De Bordeaux mix is around 2–3 years old and has a heart as big as her paws. Fiona had a rough start—she was found tied to our front door after her former owner left—but she hasn’t let that dim her sweet, loving personality.

She does well on walks, with the occasional desire to have some zoomies! She’s very food-motivated and already knows sit and paw, and with her eagerness to please, she’ll thrive with continued training. She would do best in a home with children 12 and up who can respect her space and be aware that she can be a little grabby with her toys! She can also be a bit of a counter surfer, nothing that patience and training can’t fix!

This playful girl loves stuffed toys and sometimes comes bounding in like a cheerful wrecking ball. She’s full of personality, affection, and goofy charm.

Fiona is ready for someone who will give her the love, structure, and stability she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, treat-loving companion, Fiona can’t wait to meet you!

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
