This one-year-old Saint Bernard Mastiff mix weighs around 100 pounds and, once he feels safe and settled, is a playful, medium-energy dog with a soft, marshmallow personality. In a calm and familiar environment, Finn relaxes into a gentle, goofy companion who enjoys playtime and quiet moments alike. One of his cutest habits is carrying around his oversized knotted rope toy like a prized treasure, proudly trotting from room to room with it in his mouth. Finn loves food of all kinds and food is truly the way to his heart, which also makes him very responsive to training. He has completed a basic training course and knows multiple commands, and his trainers are available to help with refresher sessions in a new home to support his continued confidence building. Finn is fully housetrained and crate trained and settles quietly in his crate, though he prefers chew safe bedding since he enjoys nibbling on softer items. He walks very nicely on leash and enjoys long, relaxed walks rather than running. Finn loves playing with other dogs and would thrive with a friendly canine companion to help him feel secure. He is polite and curious around cats and does best with slow, thoughtful introductions.<br/><br/>Finn is a very timid boy in new situations and around unfamiliar people, especially men. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
