Finley - ECAS's Story

Hi there! I'm Finley - your future cuddle buddy!

I'm a young (approximately one-year-old) male Cane Corso and Bullmastiff mix with a big heart and even bigger potential to be an incredible companion. I weigh about 78 lbs. and have been told I'm quite the looker! I have a soft black and brown brindle coat you won't be able to resist petting, soulful brown eyes, the cutest floppy ears, and an adorable little nub that wags nonstop when I'm doing my most favorite daily activities (enjoying fresh air, cuddles, and treats!) But my cuteness on the outside doesn't compare to the love I have on the inside!!

Since arriving to the shelter, I have been working on getting a little braver each and every day. It does take me a little bit of time to warm up to new situations but once I do feel safe, I love to be loved on and give it right back! My volunteer pals have been able to walk me just fine but at times I do need some extra encouragement and pawsitivity to remind me that I'm in a safe space. As I continue to build my confidence in the world, it would be best I went to a quieter home without children. I know with patience and consistency, I will continue to shine.

One thing I'm not shy about is showing off my skills! I know how to "sit," lay "down," and I also love crushing the agility ramp. I can zoom up and down before you even say "do you want a treat?" I often leave my volunteer pals speechless but they show me their pride by rewarding me with tasty treats! (I love getting rewarded with treats or belly rubs!) I'm happy to keep my hooman pal company and just hang out right beside them. I also enjoy running the fence line with some of the other doggos! If you have another doggo at home, my staff friends will properly introduce us to see if we are comfortable with one another.

So, what do you say? Are you ready to find out why I'm a volunteer favorite? Maybe it's my one-of-a-kind cuddles? Or my rugged good looks? Or my intelligence? Or all the above! When you come and meet me, I'll let you be the judge! We could end up being the perfect match!

Finley was surrendered to our shelter on 1/15/26 because his previous owner said they had no time for him. We were told he is a mix of Cane Corso and Bullmastiff. Finley is a sweet guy who can be a bit shy when he first meets someone, but after a proper introduction, he becomes quite outgoing and silly! Because of his initial shyness though, we are currently recommending that he go to a home without children. His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). His neuter surgery will be sponsored!

** Finley would do best in a home without children **

## See video of Finley at the end of the photo gallery! ##
TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/

Finley's Shelter ID# is 88727. He is an approximately 1-year-old, brindle, Bullmastiff/Cane Corso mix. He currently weighs around 75 lbs. He has already been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and is ready to go to his new home! Finley is located in kennel A-8.

** Age shown is an estimate only **

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.
