Tri-Valley Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). Tri-Valley Animal Rescue also places animals from ECAS and other area shelters in foster care in the homes of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them permanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. TVAR primarily supports the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in Dublin, CA to help owners locate their missing pets and to assist potential adopters select a pet to adopt.
We have a variety of volunteer programs including a shelter program and four foster programs. We are always looking for more volunteers - especially fosters. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please check out our volunteer page (https://www.tvar.org/volunteer) for information.
Adoption Policy
Please browse our adoptable animals. We make every effort to keep our listings updated, so if an animal shows up, there is an 80-90% chance that it is likely still available for adoption. NOTE: due to some technical issues, not all of our animals' photos display on PetFinder right now. To see photos, please visit our website directly: https://www.tvar.org.
Each of our animals has contact information in the description - either referencing the phone number of the email/phone of the volunteer who is fostering the animal or phone number for East County Animal Shelter (ECAS). If you have questions, please use the contact information in the description directly. Emails sent to contact@tvar.org are answered, but the the people that monitor these emails do not know the animals personally and will just forward your request to the contact source in the animal's description.
If an animal is at ECAS, they have their own adoption process. Please go to ECAS (they are open daily 10:30am to 5:30pm except holidays) to meet the animal and learn about them.
