Finley #5's Story
Finley #5 is a 4-year-old Golden Retriever weighing in at 94 pounds—yes, you read that right! He came into rescue alongside Daisy #69 after finding himself caught in the middle of a divorce. While both owners cared about the dogs, they were unable to come to an agreement, and Finley ultimately ended up needing a fresh start. Like Daisy, Finley is carrying some extra weight and will need a committed adopter to help him safely shed those pounds and get back to a healthier, more active lifestyle. When he arrived, he had not received basic veterinary care, including vaccinations or neutering, but he has now been fully vetted and is ready to find a home of his own.

Finley is an incredibly sweet boy who truly wants to please. He does well with other dogs, and older, respectful children would be a great fit for him. He would love a fenced-in yard where he can run, play, and continue his fitness journey. He could use a little polishing on leash manners, but with consistency—and something like a Gentle Leader harness—he does very well.

QUESTIONS: For additional information about Finley #5 please email Ann
Hilchey: ann.hilchey@labs4rescue.org

Finley #5 is being fostered in Connecticut.

🐾 HOW TO ADOPT: The fastest way to start is to submit an adoption application directly (labs4rescue.com/adopt).
