Figgy Shepherd & Boxer Mix Conover, NC

Miss Figgy is a 9 year old Female Boxer Shepherd mix. She was surrendered to a local shelter two days before Christmas because her family was moving.
She is happy, vibrant, and has a medium energy level.
She loves dogs of all ages, and sizes. She is cat friendly as well.
She is completely housebroken and loves her crate. Older children may be best as she is a larger girl of 75 pounds.
She is quiet on a leash. She does not react to other animals, or people. She is protective of her people, and her yard. She will bark to alert strangers of her presence.
She is a big cuddle bug. Above all else this girl loves to eat.
Unfortunately Figgy was not spayed at a younger age, probably had multiple litters of puppies in her life, and had breast tumors that were surgically removed when she was spayed under our care.
The tissue was sent off for possible pathology and it was determined to be adenocarcinoma. The margins indicated that this cancer had spread beyond the initial mass in her breast. The tumors have been removed but there is a chance they may come back. Therefore we are looking for a loving home to give her the best life possible and shower her with tons of love. We are unsure what amount of life she has left, could be shortened, could be longer. Figgy is fostered in Hickory and can’t wait to meet you and fall in love.
