FIG's Story

Hi, my name is Fig, I have been in a wonderful foster home for a while, and I am ready for my furever home. Let me tell you a bit about me, I am 50% Bulldog and 50% Australian Shepard with a very handsome brindle coat. I am between 2 and 4 years old and weigh 40 lbs. I have many wonderful traits that I will get to in a moment but I do have some bad traits I do not like other dogs so I have to be an only dog! I do not even like to see them the TV! No one knows my background or why this is, but it is what it is. Like most dogs I do not like the vacuum, my foster puts me in my crate when she takes that thing out. When I go for grooming and to the Vet I wear a muzzle and it is no big deal, I just do not like either of those experiences. Now let me tell you about all the wonderful things about me. My foster says I am really the PERFECT dog in the house. I am house trained, crate trained with my Kong and have zero separation anxiety. I know basic commands and will shake your hand if asked. I am very smart, playful and well behaved. I love to chase a laser light my foster uses when playing with me. I love pets and cuddles and lying across my fosters lap! I love to be able to look out the window! I am very food motivated which is good for training. I would love a home with a big, fenced yard, where I am the only dog, if you have dogs that visit, I would do best in my crate! I may not be perfect, but my foster says the good really does outweigh the bad! And I am adorable, I mean look at my face!
If you would like to adopt a wonderful companion dog like me, please fill out an application on the rescue's website www.floprva.org/adoption-application/

Love,
Fig xo
