FESTER (Neutered!) Boxer & Mastiff Mix Crossville, TN

FESTER got his unfortunate name from staff because he happened to arrive at the shelter in October. Staff is famous for giving Halloween names to all of the cats and dogs that arrive during that month. According to staff, he is likely a mixture of Boxer and Mastiff, while Petfinder’s AI thinks that he may be a Plott Hound. They have listed him as about one year of age, and show an Intake weight of 51 pounds. Staff also noted on his cage card that he is a good boy and knows the command, “Sit!” FESTER is brindle with white markings and that is always a beautiful combination on some of the dogs that come into the shelter each year. Thanks to a partnership between the University of Tennessee and Cumberland County Animal Shelter. FESTER was neutered on Monday, April 8. As a result, he can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a dog crate to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
