Fergus

Fergus is a five year old Idaho Shag mix, which includes Border Collie, Australian Shepherds and Airedale Terrier. He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.<br/><br/>Fergus was transferred to Land of Misfits Dog Rescue from an out of state shelter even though he was a good dog and loved by the staff. He was there for over a month and had been overlooked by potential adopters because he seems shy and did not show well.<br/><br/>Fergus has now been with Land of Misfits Dog Rescue since March 6th, 2026. He has shown to be very playful, happy, healthy, smart and has blossomed. He has met almost all of the dogs here at our rescue and is very easy going with them. He has an abrupt meet and greet style, but seems to want to run and play. Fergus has had a clean kennel every day since coming here. He knows some basic commands and gives very good eye contact. With his age, energy and zest for life, Fergus would do very well and learn in an active family with respectful kids. Fergus is working on leash manners but is easily corrected. He is good in the car, dog and people social, but I would not suggest cats.
