FERGIE's Story

Hi! My name is Fergie and I am available for adoption. I was brought to RASKC on February 16, 2026. I was adopted and returned on April 16, 2026 because it just wasn't a good fit. I weigh 45.0 lbs and am considered a medium breed dog. Although I am short and stocky I am a BALL OF ENERGY! I love to go on on long walks and play. Due to my high energy I would do best in a home without younger children. My foster says this about me, Fergie is a sweet and loyal pup, who just wants to be lovingly near her people all the time! She loves cuddling up on the couch, and can play tug-o-war for as long as you're willing. She has yet to meet anyone that she doesn't immediately love, and has become our house welcome-wagon when we have visitors. She is vigilant with strangers outside but is welcoming to guests when they enter the home. She's treat motivated and smart, she's already mastered 'sit' and is working on 'down', 'come', and 'find it'. She's very strong for her size and would need a home that is willing to continue to train her and help her use her strength wisely. She has displayed leash-reactivity with other dogs and cats on walks, and would need a home where she is the only pet. Fergie truly is the princess of the castle! I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be! I am currently in a foster home, please fill out a foster interest form for the chance to meet me :)
